launch flemish edition of 'The Good Life' magazine
The magazine The Good life all ready exists in France and was created my the makers of IDEAT, another famous and successful design magazine.
He was present at the launch Mister Laurent Blanc, so he got the time to explain his vision on The Good Life and why he came up with it.
First of all, the magazine is a global one, and so called hybrid. It means that all kind of 'lifestylish' stuff finds its way in it's pages.
Oh, and it's for men. And for traveling woman who like hybrid & global content off course.
Di I like the magazine? I do.
It's fresh, i like the paper it's made of ( mat bookpaper and for the fashion pages good old glossy paper) and I do like some of the headings. There is a heading for a well know first edition of a comic book, they edit the first few pages. Nice!
There is the promise to never have articles on politicians, famous nitwits or sportsmen/woman.
Interviews only on people who really make the world better, and make a significant change.
That's attitude, and refreshing for a mens magazine.
Laurent Blanc was in super shape and entertained everyone with his passion and drive.
The fact that he only compared his magazine with existing french male magazines is a pity. When you want to be a global magazine, why not be honest and get in the line with all the international toppers?
We know that there is a more than strong inspiration from Monocle, to name just one. That''s ok, we can always have some more, and competition always helps to keep everyone sharper.
What I like the most?
Laurent Blanc and his wife made a perfect way of living out of what they like the most: travel, explore, enjoy good food, hotels art and other lifestyle stuff.

Ah, and the soundtrack to read this magazine?
Put on 'The good life' by Sacha Distel. Brings on the right atmosphere, and should have been the tune for the launch radio spot. Bon vivant unite!
